Marie the dog was found two months ago. She was heavily pregnant with no access to food or water, and she was sadly sitting alone on the porch of a Costa Rica home.
A neighbor snapped a photo of Marie and sent them to Tania Cappelluti, founder of Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue Costa Rica (CAARCR). The neighbor stated that Marie had been left behind when her family moved.
Cappelluti hurried to find Marie a safe foster home, and she entered Wynn Mackey’s home. It was not a moment too soon, as just a few days after settling in, she gave birth to a litter of seven little puppies.
Marie soon started feeling safe in her foster home, and she and her seven puppies spent the next few months – until now! – playing in the yard of their temporary home. Now, all that is left is to find them brand new homes.
Marie already has a family interested in adopting her, and one of the puppies has found his forever home. Meanwhile, the remaining six puppies are still in need of loving families.
Due to how small CAARCR is, the rescue may not be able to find any flight escorts to accompany any adopted puppies to other countries if they are adopted there. However, Cappelluti has hoped that those vacationing in the country may consider bringing a dog home.
