Proud Cop Shows Off His K9 Partner's Super Secret Talent!

K9 Officer Spike might be an impeccable part of the Village of Romeoville Police Department, fighting crime and enforcing the law and proving how amazing he is at his job, but as it turns out, the pup also has a hidden talent.

John Allen has had Spike as his K9 partner for six years, and together, they’ve fought dastardly criminals and participated in countless drug busts, but it’s not all work and no play for them! In fact, that’s why Allen decided to showcase Spike’s special talent in an absolutely adorable video.

When the music of “Who Let The Dogs Out?”, that iconic single from the 2000’s by the Baha Men, plays, Spike can’t help but start to sing along, barking and howling to his heart’s content. He’s even on beat and (mostly) in tune!

Apparently, this wasn’t something Spike had to be trained to do. When he hears the song, he just naturally sings along. In fact, Spike’s quite a fan of music in general and will try to sing along with most songs he hears – it just so happens that this hit is his favorite. Maybe it’s because he can hear other dog singers on the track!

Spike lives with Allen, and when Spike’s retirement age arrives, he’ll be fully adopted by Allen so they can continue spending time together as best friends and as a family. But for now, it’s all about serving the public and doing a fantastic job serving justice!

The chief of police at Allen and Spike’s department had nothing but praise to say about these two officers. It’s great that they’re awesome at their job and just as awesome at chilling out and having a blast!
