The life of a therapy pup is never easy, and their good service and loving compassion are values to be cherished and remembered.
Kapiolani Medical Center lost one such angel pup, 10-year-old Tucker, in August. The fur ball passed away unexpectedly in August after being diagnosed with cancer. He left behind his Mommy Dr. Wendy Hirsch, a clinical psychologist, who said the pup was “the best medicine in the world”. The fur ball’s job was to help children adjust to being in a hospital, but he did so much more than that, jumping into their beds and providing comfort and support, igniting courage in these children’s hearts.
He always knew exactly what his patients needed. This pup has helped so many people and brightened so many lives. What a good boy! Tucker must be receiving many treats on the Rainbow Bridge for his commitment and hard work. Please like and share this wonderful pup’s story in his memory and to commemorate and celebrate his life.
