Everyone meet Raoul, an adorable and very polite German shepherd pup who absolutely loves ricotta cheese and would do anything to get his own cup of his favorite treat!
Raoul the German shepherd, like I mentioned earlier, loves ricotta and as soon as he sees his mommy holding a cup out for him, he knows what happens next! But many people ask if ricotta cheese is good for their fur balls. Of course the best person to answer that question is your personal vet. Anytime you have a confusion, please clear it out with your vet since he knows your fur ball better than any of us 🙂
But, according to DailyStar, ” Many dogs are lactose intolerant so the milk in bread sauce can cause upset stomachs. Yogurt and ricotta cheese are good alternatives as they are low in lactose and excellent sources of calcium, phosphorus and protein. Swap cheese for ricotta cheese and replace whipped or sour cream with a bit of low-fat yogurt. The active bacteria in yogurt can act as a probiotic which will help your dog’s digestive system.”
