Restaurant Owner Kicks Out Man And His Service Dog After Assaulting Him

An investigation is taking place after the owners of a restaurant assaulted a customer and his service dog. The altercation took place at Milton’s Restaurant in Kitchener, Ontario.

Justin Leckie, a violinist with the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, was eating his meal, accompanied by Eppie, his service dog. During his meal, he was asked to show the dog’s license. But things quickly went south.

Jeff Roy, a by-stander, captured a video of the interaction, which he later posted on Facebook. In the video, you can see two men asking Leckie to leave. Leckie refuses, explaining that having a service dog is completely legal, and he isn’t doing anything that would warrant him being thrown out. The owners get angry, and they try to physically drag him out.

At one point, they even drag him on the ground, pulling him by his legs. Leckie is clearly distressed and starts screaming, telling the owners to stop. The owners are captured screaming profanities in multiple parts of the video. It’s also clear that they are touching Leckie without his consent.

The onlookers are sure that all of this happened because of the owners, and Lackie was just a victim. Some people have stated that the owners seemed to have an issue with the man entering the restaurant with a dog, even if it’s his right to do so.

The situation got so bad, that other clients even called 911 and try to make the owners stop their assault. The police arrived and broke the fight. They are currently investigating the event. Until a decision is made, Milton’s Restaurant will be closed to avoid backlash.
