She Was Finally Free So She Showered Her Rescuer With Kisses

No creature, whether dog or human deserves to be held in captivity. The physical and mental effects of being chained up stick with the captured forever, and it is hard to overcome the negative impacts.

Matheus Laoila, an agent in Brazil, has dedicated his life to enforcing the county’s animal protection laws. During his time in the task force, he has encountered numerous suffering dogs, many of which have spent the majority of their lives in leashes, which is against the law. There are many unsung heroes in the fight against cruelty to animals, but Laoila isn’t one of them. He has gotten his flowers in this lifetime.

He recently shared a video detailing the rescue of a puppy who was chained up. He spent quite some time observing and conducting surveillance until he found sufficient evidence of continuous mistreatment and cruelty. According to Laoila, the dog lived in chains and was left outside in the cold, heat, rain, and sun.

When he arrived at the premises, it was empty and there were clear signs of neglect. He and his team worked earnestly to break the lock and free the dog from her chains. His compensation for the kind act and a job well done was a shower of kisses from the newly rescued puppy.

After additional investigation, the dog’s cruel parent was located and investigations continue into the extent of the animal mistreatment. The dog was relocated to Casa do Produtor, a reputable rescue organization in Brazil, and has since found a new home. She is in the care of people who mean her no harm and is reportedly doing well.
