Shelter Dogs In Love With Each Other Get Married to Each Other!

Two Chihuahuas at a shelter in Texas, Peanut and Cashew, recently sealed their love forever by tying the knot.

Peanut, who is 9 years old, and Cashew, who is 3 years old, met each at the San Antonio Humane Society. Both dogs had been surrendered by their respective families, who could no longer care for them.

It didn’t take long for the duo to bond after they met. They often kept each other’s company at the shelter and soon became inseparable. When the shelter’s staff observed that Peanut and Cashew’s relationship had grown into something truly special, they organized a wedding ceremony to celebrate their love.

The wedding ceremony featured a dog-friendly wedding cake, bubble machine, custom-made mini chapel, and red carpet aisle. Peanut looked handsome in his tuxedo, while Cashew radiated beauty in her white dress and veil. The couple was surrounded by staff, volunteers, and closest friends at their wedding ceremony.

The San Antonio Humane Society, in a post on Facebook, said they’d love to see Peanut and Cashew continue their love story. However, the dogs would need someone to adopt them both for that to happen.

If not, it will be a “short summer fling after all. How does the saying go? ‘Til adoption do us part?” SAHS wrote.
