On January 6th Grant Senesac, who is a Kankakee County farmer in rural Illinois, came across something he never wanted to see. Upon hearing weird noises in his backyard, Grant went to see what he was hearing.
At first, he figured it would be a coyote, but to his surprise, he saw a dog zip-tied in a barn. He knew this dog and knew it belonged to his longtime neighbor Linda Stam. In the same barn, she had three different Keeshond dogs in kennel cages. Grant immediately rushed in and picked up the dog, before freeing her from the zip ties.
He then went to approach Linda’s house and called the police. The day after, the police had gotten a warrant and went to find the dogs. They found the three other dogs and 11 cats inside the residence. All the animals were placed in foster care and taken from Linda. Since then, Linda has been charged with animal torture, cruel treatment, and neglect. Grant says that he doesn’t know Linda too well, but knows she has been breeding these dogs for years and is an American Kennel Club licensed breeder.
Luckily, the dog Grant rescued from the zip ties, now named GG, is in a stable foster home. Diane, GG’s foster mom, is serving as her caretaker and giving her all the love she deserves. She was named GG, which stands for Good Girl because Diane wants her to know that she is a great dog. She says that GG is really affectionate and very loving towards her and her family and hopes someone will adopt her soon.
