Street Dog Gets Second Chance At Life As Rescuers Show Up At Critical Hour

Street dogs in various parts of the world often suffer in silence when injured. In some parts of India, street dogs are viewed as a pest. So when they are injured, either after being hit by a car or attacked by another animal, most people go about their day without stopping to help.

Thankfully, not everyone is heartless towards street dogs. A street dog in a neighborhood was seriously injured. Fortunately, there were Good Samaritans who had compassion for her, wrapped her in a blanket, and called Animal Aid Unlimited to rescue her.

When the rescuers arrived, they realized that the dog was in grave danger, as her neck was “torn apart.” The only way to help her was to get her to emergency surgery as soon as possible, or else she would not survive the rest of the day.

The rescue took the dog, later named Molly, to a veterinarian for care. While the medical team could not ascertain the cause of the injury, they suspected she was hit by a car, and the tire took off some of her skin when the motorist sped off.

Thankfully, there was enough skin left to close the wound.

Over the coming days, Molly was well fed, renewing her strength and helping her wounds heal. She has fully recovered and is thriving well.
