Street Puppy Close To Dying Gets A Second Chance At Life

A street puppy close to dying on the road got a second chance at life after rescuers arrived at the scene in time to help. When rescuers with Animal Aid Unlimited got to the pup and scooped him off the road, they discovered he was suffering from puncture wounds on his neck.

The puppy yelped when rescuers touched him due to the severe pain he was experiencing. So rescuers administered pain medication to the poor pup before cleaning his wounds and stabilizing him.

The next few days were difficult for the dog as the pain refused to go away. "For several days, he couldn't stand, needed help even to eat, and swallowing was probably painful when, the day after his rescue, his face started to swell," Animal Aid Unlimited shared on YouTube.

Staff with the rescue continued to care for the dog and were determined to help him through the difficult period. They could see in his eyes a ray of hope that showed he wanted to live, despite the pain he was going through. So they named him Ray and did everything possible to make him comfortable.

It took time and lots of care before Ray started walking, running, and playing like a healthy dog again. Rescuers are amazed by his recovery and glad he went from being so close to death to now being able to live his best life.
