Terrified Dog Hiding Under Wooden Pallets His Entire Life Finally Finds Hope

Some dogs are left to fend for themselves, so they have to take desperate measures. Such was the case for a young poodle, who was living in an industrial area under wooden pallets. He was too scared to seek help. Fortunately, one day someone found him.

After a citizen saw him alone, they texted Hope For Paws. They learned that the poodle had been living alone for months, eating food that kind women brought him. He would always be too afraid to go with the women or let them get too close though.

JoAnne Wiltz, from Hope For Paws, was tasked to go and see if she can help the dog. When she spotted him under the pallets, she devised a plan. She offered him a cheeseburger. The little dog was so hungry that he just rushed to the burger, without paying attention to the leash that JoAnne slipped around his neck.

The puppy, later named Kirby, was taken to the vet. They discovered that he was in really good health. He only needed a good haircut, as his fur was all over the place, matted and dirty. JoAnne gave him the makeover he deserved, and the little man immediately looked better.

Kirby was fostered by the L.A. Animal Rescue, who is working on getting him adopted. While the people at the rescue love him to pieces, they are doing all they can to get him the home he deserves.

And he’s such a lovely little pup, that he’ll definitely find a loving family in no time.
