A month ago, Lyn Crawford, who runs an organization in Mississippi called the Jackson Friends of the Animal Shelter, received a heart-wrenching message.
The message was written by Joyce, whose pup, Daisy, had managed to escape from her backyard. She hadn’t succeeded in finding her since that say – the 20th of June – and she needed all the help she could get, so she asked Crawford to keep an eye out for the dog. Attached with the message was a picture of Daisy.
Crawford did her best to help. She passed the picture around with her colleagues, but none of them had seen her. Days went by and it began to look like things were hopeless. But then, that Monday, a volunteer took a picture of a dog who was being brought out by a shelter worker and another volunteer realized that the pup looked a bit like Joyce’s missing dog.

There was just one problem – the pup they had at the shelter was so terrified that she looked nothing like the picture, and they couldn’t tell if it was her. Even Joyce was unable to tell for certain from the photo of the scared shelter dog. So, as soon as she got off work, Joyce rushed over to the shelter.

The shelter workers started to ask, as Joyce came in, if the pup was Daisy, but there really was no doubt. The second Daisy saw her Mom, her entire demeanor changed. Her tail wagged and it was as though all her fear and sadness completely melted away, leaving only joy that she was with her Mom again!
Even Joyce’s reaction was similar. From looking worried and sad, she was overjoyed to see her precious pup again! Needless to say, it brightened the whole day at the shelter and everyone is so happy that these two are reunited once more.
