The Best New Years’ Surprise Ever as a Dog Comes Back From the Dead!

Magdalen Klubczuk gave up her beloved dog for dead. The Shih Tzu named Roxy went missing from her home in Wales 8 years ago.

Roxy should have been easy to trace as she had both an ID tag as well as a microchip, however, Klubczuk’s frantic searches yielded no results and neither did the reports she filed with the neighborhood vets. No one brought Roxy in to their clinics.

Hence in time, she lost hope of ever seeing Roxy again.

On New Year’s Eve, out of the blue, Klubczuk received a call from an animal rescue in North Wales. After 8 years, Roxy had shown up on the streets. The shelter scanned the dog for a microchip and obtained Klubczuk’s contact details.

Her first response was disbelief:

“When I received the phone call I told them it was not possible,” she said. “We’ve spent all these years thinking she was dead.”

The following day was the scene of an emotional reunion between a parent and her long lost child who had been presumed dead.

The thin, but otherwise healthy Roxy appeared to recognize his mum, and they have both started the year on a brilliant note!
