The Dog That People Often Think Is A Pig!

Meet Ted. He’s the dog that people mistake for a pig. When he was first adopted by his mom, Devan Seaman, he was hairless. Though he eventually grew some fur, he never quite looked like a dog.

According to the rescue, he was a Chinese crested mix, but since he started growing fur six months after adoption, his mom decided to do a DNA test. When the results came back, he learned that Ted was quite the interesting mix. He was mainly a Chihuahua and mini poodle mix, with a dash of Shih Tzu and other dog breed groups. This is what gives him his unique look.

When Ted is in public, people often do a double-take when they see him. It’s not every day you see a dog that looks like him. His mom is often quizzed about his breed and complimented on how adorable his eyes are.

The other day, while taking Ted for a walk, the two were stopped by a man who wanted to know more about Ted. He started to pet him and it was soon revealed that he thought that Ted was a pig. He also revealed that his family had a pig and she did not bother to correct him because he seemed so interested. But this wasn’t the first time this has happened. Other people have asked if Ted was a dog or a pig. Some have even asked if he was a possum.

Ted doesn’t mind the attention his unique looks bring him and he loves meeting new people. He’s quite a nosy dog and is always waiting to see if someone else will stop and ask about him.
