Who said that dog’s favorite treat has to be a piece of meat or a bone?
These two golden retriever puppies are living proof that fruit – watermelon, specifically, can be just as exciting! They are going to town on these slices and loving every minute of it!
We’ve seen examples of dogs eating corn, but watermelon! There might be a chance that these puppies heard the saying; a watermelon a day keeps the vet away! Is that a saying? No? I wish it was! Watermelon is delicious!
According to the AKC watermelon is a fun treat for dogs too, with a couple stipulations. They say, “Seeds could cause an intestinal blockage, so make sure you remove them. It’s also probably not a good idea to allow a dog to chew on the rind, because it can cause gastrointestinal upset.” So be safe and enjoy!
