You’ve probably already heard about Pokémon Go, the virtual reality mobile game that’s taking the world by storm.
(If not, then where have you been?!) Believe it or not, this game was able to save a pup’s life. When mother Elizabeth Thomas took her three sons out for a walk to play the game in Harlan County, Kentucky, they definitely didn’t expect to find this fur ball near some train tracks. The pup had been shot, beaten and was missing an ear and his tail. Luckily, Elizabeth is a nurse!
She was able to bring the pup home and care for him until the Harlan County Animal Shelter could arrive to take him the next morning. She hadn’t been sure if the fur ball would survive, given his dire situation, but he pulled through! What a strong pup! The fortunate fur ball is on his way to recovery at the shelter. He’s been named Ash after a lead character of the Pokémon franchise, and the Thomas family hope to adopt him when he’s better. Isn’t that incredible? Do share this story with your friends!
