As any Mom or Dad of a pup will know, or will soon quickly learn, pups sleep a lot. In fact, it seems like they spend most of their time sleeping the day away. And you wouldn’t be wrong! Most pups will sleep on average about 12 to 14 hours a day, compared to a human’s 8 to 10 hours.
Of course, this doesn’t make the fact that your pup sleeps so much any less amusing! This Mom is lying in bed with her English Bulldog, Bubba. It is only 6pm, but the pup is already out cold, much to Mom’s confusion! He has hardly done anything today, why is he so tired?
Depending on the breed and age, the amount of time a pup needs to sleep can increase. Larger breeds like Mastiffs can sleep up to 18 hours, and so can puppies! That is a lot of time spent watching our pups do nothing but just snooze.
