Did you know that the jaws of pups can’t move side to side like ours can? They can only open and close, which means that they are unable to grind apart their food. This is because they are carnivorous, and thus are meant to simply use their teeth to rip and tear apart flesh to eat.
Of course, these days our pups are much more pampered – they certainly don’t have to worry about hunting for food. Instead, we try to give them the most nutritious meals we can get for them, in the best interests of their health. That said, this doesn’t mean we are capable of resisting the urge to give our pups a snack!
This Golden Retriever puppy is having a great time enjoying the snack that Mom gave him! It is a tiny, flattened out skin of a roasted chicken. He certainly enjoys it very much, but is having a little trouble with it!
