Intervertebral Disk Disease, or IVDD, is sadly a rather common condition in dogs, and dachshund pups are just one of many susceptible breeds. Daphne the dachshund pup, a permanent foster at a rescue organization called Devoted to Dachshund Rescue, has recently had to undergo surgery for this condition.
A loyal, loving, and devoted pup, Daphne underwent the spinal operation at Animal Referral Hospital Brisbane, but as a rescue pup, the medical costs were rather steep for the small organization to fully handle. That’s why Daphne’s foster Mom, who has fallen head over heels in love with this precious pup, is requesting donations.
If you’d like to help cover Daphne’s medical expenses, you can visit the Devoted to Dachshund Rescue website here and find out how! If not, then do keep the pup in your thoughts and prayers as she recovers from the surgery and gets back on her feet – or should we say, paws – again!
