This Adorable Pup Planned To Take Part In The Recent Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show

The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show – one of the most famous of its kind internationally – was held early last month at the Madison Square Garden . Elsa the English bulldog pup was one of many hopefuls who planned to win big and take home some of the main prizes.

Joe and Laura Alexander are Elsa’s parents, and they train her themselves, with Elsa’s Mommy also being her handler. Hailing from Avoca, the couple said, “A lot of people run it as a business. They figure if the dog is not winning they could sell it or give it away. But that’s not the case here. She is family first, a pet first. Whatever she does inside the ring is icing on the cake.”

The pup’s parents are well-acquainted with the judges’ criteria and knew that Elsa acted and performed well.

But regardless of Elsa’s performance, her Mommy and Daddy were happy with her, as she was always be a pet first before a competitor. Elsa is an important part of their family and is an amazing pup who they very much love, so however she performs on the main stage is merely the cherry on top!
