The loss of a child is one that can elicit great sadness and depression. It isn’t easy to carry a growing baby in your body for all those months, and then find out at the very last moment that they have passed away. As it turns out, pups aren’t immune to that kind of grief as well.
Molly the Australian Beagle pup was a bit of an unusual case – where most pups would have litters of about 4 to 10 puppies, she was only carrying 2. This was a little odd, but it wasn’t of great concern – until the puppies ended up overdue. By the time they were ready to be delivered, they were too big, and soon died.
As a result, Molly was devastated. The poor pup was clearly depressed for the longest time, trying to look for her missing pups everywhere – until she met an abandoned possum in dire need of a mother. The two immediately took to each other, and have been close ever since!
