Piglet, a double dapple dachshund and chihuahua mix pup, was born blind and deaf as a result of irresponsible breeding. He had a tough start to life, weighing only 2 lbs and crying for hours and hours in fear. But his life was changed when a foster family took him in.
The original plan was for the family to serve as his temporary home until he could be adopted, but the family fell head over heels in love with him and couldn’t let him go. Now, the pup has learned plenty of tricks, spends loads of time playing, has five fellow pup siblings, and is finally part of a loving forever home! He learns through touch and smell and is a very smart dog!
Piglet, and his family, hope to raise awareness about the perils of irresponsible breeding, as well as serve as a reminder to consider adopting pups with special needs from shelters, as they are just as deserving of love and a home as any other!
