We often see pups working in all sorts of environments, serving either their parent, their family, or the community at large. Often, these pups with special roles will have to undergo a specific type of training from birth, to ensure that they are up to task. But the thing is, not every single pup will make the cut!
Police pups in particular have to be a little more on the gruff side – especially when you consider that they have to appear intimidating to criminals and would-be criminals alike. This German Shepherd, unfortunately, was too sociable and friendly. He was just not fitting in well in the police pup training program, and was unhappy as a result!
The staff were initially unsure as to what to do with him. They can’t just throw him out onto the streets! But this pup has shown that he can be trained, or he wouldn’t have entered the program in the first place. Then, an idea – he could be trained up to help in politics!
