When we lose our beloved pups, the grief often feels too much to bear. And when our beloved pups lose their family members, you can be the grief is on the same level.
The uncle of Evlyn Casto and an adorable pup named Paquito have always been inseparable, and the special bond they shared was noted by everyone who knew them. They almost considered each other family, like father and son, and Paquito was brought along by his Dad everywhere.
But then, disaster struck six years ago. Paquito’s dad fell sick and was unable to recover, eventually passing away. The pup was completely heartbroken, and he had lost his best friend in the whole world.
Slowly, Paquito’s other family were able to help him grieve and eventually begin to cope. Eventually, the pup seemed to recover from the heart-wrenching devastation. But a recent event has proven that he has never forgotten his wonderful Dad. Over the weekend, Castro and her aunt were slowly sorting out boxes that had become drenched during a storm. These boxes contained a lot of Castro’s uncle’s clothes, and they had to set them out on the floor in order to allow them to dry completely.

Just as they did this, Castro rushed into the room. He practically leaped onto the clothes and begin to cuddle with them, sniffing them thoroughly and enjoying being around them. It was as though he recognized the scent of his Dad and thought he was back in the arms of his beloved father at last.

It was an emotional moment for all. The pup didn’t want to leave the clothes at all and insisted on continuing to snuggle them. But through this heartbreaking moment, we know that Paquito has a family who loves him, and that the memory of his Dad lives on forever in him.
