Beagles were originally bred for hunting rabbits, they are scent hounds. Now, imagine you are a beagle, and you smell something that has a wonderful aroma, and you are desperate to find it!
You catch the scent briefly floating on the air and run around the yard a little bit to see if you can find the source. You can tell you are getting closer because the scent is stronger and stronger! Finally, you locate the area of the yard it is coming from. Sadly, the smell seems to be coming from inside the parent’s shed.
So, what is a beagle to do?! Dig, of course! Ok, you can stop pretending you are a beagle now and watch the rest of the story unfold in the video below! Looks like this beagle pup has been at this particular hole for some time! There even seems to be some wood there protecting the fence!
