Stretching is incredibly good for our bodies. Not only do regular stretching exercises keep us loose and limber, they also help with maintaining joint health. This is especially so when you consider that our bodies will stiffen with old age – all that joint pain the elderly have can often be traced back to join stiffness!
Because of this, exercises such as yoga and taichi – the former for young people, the latter for the older folks – are often encouraged due to their promotion of flexibility in their exercises. Plus, these exercises are great for one’s health anyway!
This Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever mix has certainly heard about the good things stretching exercises offers, and is trying his paw at a bit of yoga! You would think that he would be good at the downward dog pose from yoga, seeing as it is named after pups. Alas, it looks like he has a long way to go before he gets good at it!
