Dogs have an incredible sense of smell. Their hearing is off the charts too – but you knew that already! A dog had about 300 million smell receptors in their nose, we humans have only 6 million, according to PBS.org.
Also, the part of a dog’s brain that is responsible for deciphering smell is about 40 times larger than ours! So, they can smell things and get a lot more information from those odors than we can even imagine! So, if you think you can pet a strange dog during the day and come home and not have any scent left on you – you are wrong!
The bulldog in this video may seem like he is having breathing trouble – but he is quite well and can sniff out that treat a mile away! Playing hide and seek with a dog treat is just about as useless as things can get!
