This Dog Is Sad Because He Can't Go Play Outside With Children!

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has affected our lives in adverse ways. Human relationships and social life of most people is not what it used to be.

People have had to stay away from friends, bars, clubs, and social events for months. Really, life is not as fun as it used to be. This sorry state of affairs has not left out our pets. As humans are moping, so are animals sulking. And when pets sulk, especially if it’s a dog, it is really moving. That brings us to the story of Big Poppa, a 3-year-old English bulldog in Atlanta, Georgia, who went viral on social media because of his sad face in lockdown.

It was just another day of the lockdown for Big Poppa as he stared down at a few kids playing basketball from their 6th-floor court. Like most other dogs, he loved being among children and other dogs, running and fetching things. He barked continually to get the kids’ attention.

Still, all his efforts were in vain as he was too far away for the kids to hear, and social distancing meant that he was not allowed to go meet them. These circumstances resulted in an extremely sad mope on his face.

Big Poppa’s parent, Rashida Ellis, works as a television and film costume designer. She uploaded to the dog’s social media accounts a picture of him staring at the kids with a sad emotional face. In no time, the image became an online hit with many moved by the dog’s crestfallen expression…

Watch out for Part 2!
