The thing with being able to choose our pups when we adopt them is that most Moms and Dads will go for pups that are whole, healthy, and young.

As a result, we rarely see pups that were born with some sort of physical disability. However, they do exist, and they are indeed very deeply loved by their Dads and Moms.

Benson the black Labrador Retriever is one of those beloved dogs with a disability – specifically, he is deaf! This hasn’t stopped him from being a wonderful and loving pup, however. He can do just about anything you want of him, as can be seen by how during a walk he is trained enough to walk off leash.

Alas, there is one thing this wonderful pup struggles to do – he can’t hear when Dad starts calling for everyone to head home! Instead, Benson relies on his sibling, another Labrador Retriever named Buffy, to fetch him back to the house!
