The problem with trying to raise two different species of animals together is that their communicative language usually differs completely!

This is famously so with cats and pups, to the point where you can even see it when their respective parents try to communicate with pets of the other species. It can lead to a lot of miscommunication, so even when both animals are friendly it can be very confusing for all involved!

You can see it in this case with Rex the Golden Retriever pup and Sky the Ragdoll kitten. Rex is interested in play and Sky picks up on it enough that he tries to show he wants to play too. Unfortunately, the language for play is very different for the both of them!

In the end, Rex gives up and walks off, leaving poor Sky behind on the couch. There, he ends up wondering what went so wrong!
