This Mother And Son Are Looking For Their Forever Loving Home - Let's Help Them

Kaiah the 10-year-old pup and her son Baxter, 8 years old, were brought into Connecticut’s Windham Animal Control when their owner had to serve a jail sentence. The sweet pups, then 8 and 6 when they were first surrendered, seemed very loving and staff were hopeful that they would be able to find a new home together.

But it is now two years later, and the pit bull pups have not left the shelter. The pups are very playful, though their age makes them calmer, and they are extremely gentle and soft even when taking treats. These easygoing two are still looking for a forever home, but it has to be together, as Baxter is extremely protective of his mother and won’t leave her side.

The pups love running around outside, though they’re not very good at leash-walking, so staff want them to go to a home with a well-fenced yard. The mother and son are calm and undemanding, though they do enjoy a good game now and then. Still, they enjoy spending a lot of time curled up together and napping!

These pups should go to a home where they can be the only two dogs, and they can live with people of all ages. They’d love a patient family that has had pups before, too, as they will need time to adjust to a new environment after being here for so long.

They deserve a forever home where they can spend the rest of their days!
