This Paralyzed Pup Was Hoping For A Miracle, And You Won't Guess What Happened

Some pup breeds are more predisposed to back injuries, simply just by the way their spine is as a result of hundreds of years of breeding. For Dachshund pups, it is caused by the aesthetic breeders were pursuing this breed – that famous sausage-like length.

Such was the case for Ellie May, the Dachshund pup! While playing with her other sibling, she got injured. Upon being taken to the vet’s, her parents soon discovered that from a neurologist that their poor pup would likely require surgery to be able to walk properly again. However, the surgery costed $6,000 – money her parents didn’t have.

Instead, they opted to try using an alternate, non-surgical option – a Spectra Therapy Laser Blanket. Against all odds, this pup soon started getting better! Although she hasn’t fully recovered yet, she is showing much faster signs of progress than anyone had ever expected. Considering the neurologist said that her breed very rarely manages to recover without surgery of any kind, this is great news!
