Beagles are an active breed that are excellent companions for both adults and children. They were originally bred as scent hounds to track hare and rabbits.

Many countries, including the United States, still use Beagles for tracking. Beagles are known to be fun loving and merry – and stubborn and difficult to train! One of their favorite activities is following an interesting scent. So, if you are creative, you can use that fact and come up with some novel ways to train them!

The man in this video has something that must smell fantastic or at least interesting in his hand! When he gives the Beagle a quick sniff, he raises his arms and turns it in a circle! The curiosity the Beagle has about the ‘treat’ forces him to get up on his hind legs and twirl around in a circle like a ballerina! The whole video is in slow motion – and in the end, the dog does get his treat!
