Training your dog to sit and wait for their meal may be something you have to do. If you have – let’s say, five dogs, having them all jump around and bark for their dinner can be a little bit too much.
Then there is the possibility that a fight could break out! We can’t have that. So, you implement the rule that no dog can approach their food bowl until the command is spoken. Finally, peace reigns in the household at dinner time! If you only have one dog, there is no reason not to implement a little structure at dinner time.
Dogs, just like children appreciate structure and predictability in their lives. The little Labrador, Jesse, in this video is learning at an early age that good things come to pups that can wait! After mom utters the magic word – Jesse scampers up to his bowl to dig in! Good dog! Good job, mom!
