Unlikely Aquatic Champion Beats Dog At Fetch

Besides humans, dogs are at the top of the list of catchers. They show off just how good they are in the popular game of fetch. C.C loved playing fetch, but the other day when she went out to the lake with her family, they’d quickly learn that she was not the only star catcher present that day.

That fateful day, C.C’s ball fell into the hands of an unlikely competitor who, one can argue, beat her at her own game. It all started when C.C was playing fetch in the water. It was only after one toss that the game was over. She was too slow in catching her toy, and by then, a competitor has stepped up to claim it as his own.

It wasn’t another dog as one may think. It wasn’t even a human. It was a fish and he had caught it in his mouth!

You can understand the shock and excitement at the lake that day. Madeline Hyde, C.C’s mother expressed those sentiments and shared that it took everyone a second to process what really had happened. A fish had caught the ball and that wasn’t something you see every day. C.C was certainly in disbelief.

As you can imagine, the fish wasn’t able to hold onto the ball for very long. Nevertheless, it was quite the sight. Eventually, C.C’s grandfather retrieved the toy which ultimately saved the fish from choking. It took some doing, and the fish swam away pretty quickly, not wanting to go for round two.
