For any Mom or Dad who is raising a young puppy (or even trying to breed a litter!), one of the important milestones you will want to ensure your puppy reaches is the transition from consuming wet food to the ability to eat solid food by themselves.
This is important, as it means the pup is one more step along the very important developmental path to a healthy, happy pup! (Not to mention buying dry food in bulk is a little cheaper, so you can save more money!)
This little Dachshund pup is finally old enough to eat dry, solid food by herself without any problem! You can see, however, that it does take some work for her to chew – likely because she is still developing the jaw strength to bite down on the food morsels.
It is quite exciting to see a pup grow up right before your eyes – soon, she will be gobbling down her meals like there is no time to waste!
