If you can walk your dog around the neighborhood off lease, you are a lucky person! Most dogs will do well, if properly trained, when walking around a small area.

But, sometimes, their prey drive may take over and even the most well-trained dog will run off after a squirrel or cat! Many areas have leash laws that require you have your dog on a leash when you are not on your property. So, before you decide to walk around the block with your dog off leash, check your local ordinances.
