Taking a bath can sometimes be somewhat terrifying for young children and dogs. Just think about it. The rushing water is so loud (and it may be too hot or too cold to boot)!

Then there is that drain. The water goes down there, but it never comes back. Perhaps dogs and young children fear that they too will get sucked down the drain never to return! As a good parent, you show your dog (or child) that there is no need to worry. Baths are a necessary part of life.

Brandy, a long-haired dachshund, and her dad live in Irvine, California, and it is time for a bath. Chris is very gentle and appears to be offering Brandy some emotional support during the bath. Perhaps if Brandy weren’t right under the faucet, she would be calmer. That faucet is spilling out a lot of water, and it’s loud!
