Having a toddler means barely getting a moment’s peace for as long as they’re awake – and often, that’s what having a pup means, too. So imagine the double whammy of having both! While it’s a rewarding and wonderful experience, sometimes a parent just wants a little serenity.
Kristina Prasad didn’t think she’d get any of that when she was home alone with her German shepherd pup Harley and her energetic and excitable two-year-old daughter Kennedy. It was bedtime for the both of them, but Kennedy refused to go to bed and kept begging to play with Harley, who was in her kennel because it was her bedtime too. This meant the both of them kept bouncing off each other’s energy and neither were sleeping!
Exhausted, Kristina opened the dog’s kennel and, in a desperate attempt to have things her way, told her daughter to sleep next to the pup. The two began to cuddle. Minutes later, Kristina realized it was uncharacteristically quiet and looked down to see an adorable scene – the two had fallen asleep with Kennedy holding Harley’s paw. Aww! Finally, some peace and quiet, and a cute image to look at with it!
