Watch How This Adorable Pup Acts As Lifeguard For Swimming Ducklings!

Ducks practically belong in the water where they can swim all day, but for those born in a domestic situation, getting to swim might happen a little later on in life. For these ducklings, this is their very first time being in water, ever – but luckily, they have a super responsible pup lifeguard to help!

Thorin the German shepherd pup is the official guardian and unofficial caretaker of countless different small animals, and these ducklings are no exception. As they happily waddle in a bucket of water, the pup carefully watches over them, making sure they don’t flip over or have too much trouble.

When the ducklings are done with their swim and are placed back onto the floor, they crowd around Thorin as if to say “Look, we did it!” It’s clear that they trust this pup, and he tenderly nuzzles them with his nose as they flap their wings to dry off. What a good boy Thorin is!
