Water sports and play can be a great form of enrichment for pups – if you can get them to overcome their fear of the water first! For some reason, some pups take to the water like a fish, while others are terrified and refuse to even paw the water. But that’s fine!

Although winter is fast approaching in the northern hemisphere, many parts of the world are still dealing with warm climates. So the easiest way to cool off your pup is to simply take them along for a dip! For those of us who don’t exactly have a swimming pool built into our backyard, we can simply get a portable one set up for our pups if desired.

This Dad is trying to entice his Beagle pups, Louie and Marie, into the cool, refreshing water. He does so by throwing in a few treats! Once they are more comfortable with the water, that is when the real fun can begin!
