On a really hot day in summer or a freezing cold day in winter, the last thing you will think about is going out for a walk with your bare feet. So, why would you force your pup to do that?
With the exception of pups that were bred for the extreme weather, it isn’t too fun for a pup to go walking on the pavement with their bare paws.
This is why little booties like the one this Dachshund pup is wearing were invented! Just like shoes for people, they are meant to protect the paws of our pups from extreme weather and anything that may harm the soles of their feet. The only problem is, they take some getting used to!
This puppy is having a hard time adjusting to walking with booties – probably because she can’t really feel the floor! But that is okay – with Mom’s enthusiastic encouragement and treats, this pup will master it in no time at all!
