What Happens When Your Pup Wants To Scare A Mouse But Is Intimidated Too?!

For those of us who work with pups (or just have a strong interest in them!), one of the first things you will learn about them is just how they are predatory animals. Often, bigger working pups like Huskies and the like will often have a prey drive, and will go chasing after small mammals like birds and squirrels!

So it comes as no surprise that when a mouse shows up in this German Shepherd’s line of sight, the first thing this pup does is make a dash for it. The chase is on! At least, so we all think. This mouse, after darting a few paces, decides it has enough of this tomfoolery and turns around to face its opponent!

The German Shepherd, who really is just a puppy, clearly was not expecting this sudden show of confidence. He halts in his tracks, and then starts backing off as the mouse approaches him instead!
