Everyone meet Avery, an adorable German shepherd pup who’s decided that today is the day she’ll confront the one and only, the most basic thing in the house. Can you guess what she’s chasing after?!
Avery is a very playful puppy and a very curious one owing to her age, of course! Today she’s decided to chase the broom, come what may and settle the differences for once and for all. But according to ClickerPets, this behavior should not be encouraged. They state, “Puppies are very curious and playful and can develop undesirable behaviors if not taught. One is chasing or mouthing brooms or mops.”
Why should this not be encouraged? Well for obvious reasons, they can get hurt, or the broom gets hurt, or they take a lot of dirt in their mouth from a previously used broom. You want to keep your fur balls healthy and so it’s never encouraged to allow them to chase brooms and mops. Once in a while ts okay so long as it doesn’t become a habit.
