What's It Like To Be A Pup And A Sumo Wrestler?! Check Out This Cuteness!

Sumo wrestling is the national sport of Japan, and although many people around the world find it comical, it’s a sport deeply rooted in tradition and culture. It was a sport that was created in order to entertain deities of Shinto, and many of the olden rituals involved continue to be practised to this day!

This adorable Labrador pup is clearly inspired by these great Japanese sportsmen, because today, he’s donning a hilarious and super cute Sumo wrestler costume! He struts proudly in his awesome outfit as he walks along a road by the water, showing off how cool he looks.

Seeing as weight gain is such a big part of Sumo training, it’s no surprise this pup wants a part in it – it’s a great ploy to get more food! Too bad the costume already takes care of most of the weight class issues for him… Oh well! It was a good try, pup!
