When And How To Use Dog Muzzles

People often think dogs that wear muzzles are aggressive. As a result, muzzles are often viewed as something bad. The truth is that is not always the case. There are several reasons to use muzzles, even for social and well-cultured dogs.

• Using it because the law requires certain breeds of dogs to use it.

There are at least two types of muzzles you can get for your dog.

1. Basket muzzles: They are made from rubber, silicone, or plastic. They limit how much a dog can open their mouth. It looks like fitting the dog’s snout in a basket. However, if fitted well, it gives room for them to relax and pant.
2. Grooming muzzles: They are made with leather, nylon, or mesh. It’s a restrictive option that won’t allow the dog to open their mouth to pant.
