Everyone meet Danielle Eden and Rob Scheinberg, two awesome people who’re all about rescuing dogs and giving them a second chance to life. They are also the founders of Dog Tales rescue shelter in King City, Canada!
The Dog Tales rescue shelter opened in 2014 and it focuses on rehabilitating elderly and disabled dogs who would have had a tough time finding their forever loving homes. Located on a 50 acre land, this facility has walking trails, large fenced-in paddocks as well as a therapy pool for the dogs. Apart from that, the dogs are walked eight times a day.
Rob and Danielle visit many shelters all over the world to save dogs in need and to give them a second chance to life. But in January this year, when Danielle visited one shelter in Israel, what she saw there broke her heart. All the dogs in the shelter needed help. Each kennel was crammed up with six dogs and most of them were covered in ticks and sores.
Because all the dogs needed help, the woman decided to buy the entire shelter filled with 250 dogs! After the paperwork was complete, some dogs were re-sheltered in Israel and 25 were flown to Canada. Within 3 weeks, half of the 25 dogs were adopted!
