Woman Finds Poisoned Bone And A Horrifying Note Intended For Her Dog

Cheri Blair from North Sydney is the mother of a lovely Portuguese Podengo named Jolene. One day, around six AM, she let Jolene outside to go potty, like she does every morning. Everything seemed normal until Jolene didn’t come back when Cheri called her.

Cheri went outside to check on the dog when she found her chewing on a large bone in the corner of the garden. Cheri says that the bone, a big freeze-dried bone, is one that you would only find at the pet store. At first, she didn’t think much of it. She just threw the bone over the fence and started walking inside. But something made her go back and check the area again.

She found a letter that said someone had to poison the dog because she barks too much. Cheri was obviously terrified by the threat and screamed at her husband to go get the bone. She picked Jolene up and rushed her to the vet.

When they got there, the vet decided to induce vomiting and monitor Jolene for the rest of the day to make sure she wasn’t developing any symptoms. Even though they didn’t know for sure that the bone was poisoned, they weren’t going to take any chances.

The weird part is that some neighbours came forward and said they had never heard Jolene bark. And Jolene could only recall one instance when Jolene was barking, and that had been a day prior. She had been barking alongside two other dogs when a woman’s voice told them to “shut up”.

The New South Wales Police is investigating the incident. They are looking for DNA on the bone, so, hopefully, they’ll find a suspect soon.
