Woman Rescues Malnourished Dog Chained To A Tree Without Food Or Water

One day, Maggi was helping her niece paint her new place when she noticed a dog chained to the tree on the property. This happened before the previous owners had moved out, and that was their dog.

Even though she wasn’t a dog person, after three days of watching her chained to that tree, she felt like she needed to go say hi to her.

The dog was dirty, and when Maggi looked into her eyes, she could tell she needed help. There was no food in her bowl, and the water was basically a green slime. She had no bed, no toys, and she was so malnourished, she weighed just 18 pounds. Maggi knew she couldn’t leave her there. So, her niece offered the tenants $50 for the dog, which they immediately took, and were even happy to see the dog go.

The dog, Heidi, is now her service dog, and she is one of the sweetest dogs ever. She has been living with Maggi for five years, and currently weighs 34 pounds. She is very healthy, her fur is shiny, and her eyes are just as expressive as ever, though they are now filled with joy instead of fear. Maggi says Heidi is her guardian angel, and she couldn’t be happier about the decision to rescue her.

Heidi loves every person she meets, and she has even used her anxiety training skills to help a lost child find her mother. Every day she helps someone, whether that’s her mom or just a random person. She loves everyone and is now happier than ever before.
