Getting bored of your animal is not a reason to euthanize! That is exactly what one woman asked animal shelter workers to do in this miserable true story.

Mitsie’s human reportedly decided she was sick of her. The woman brought 11 year old shaking Mitsie into the shelter and told them to kill her because she was just sick of her and just couldn’t stand her any more. Shelter staff quickly noticed aside from being scared (and who could blame her), Mitsie seemed to be in fine health and as an 11 year old beagle, she still likely had some good years ahead of her.

Lucky for Mitsie, the shelter staff weren’t about to listen to this woman’s requests that they kill her dog. Instead, they took Mitsie in and took a different kind of action.

Saddened by the request, but taken by this sweet beagle named Mitsie, abandoned in her older years, a rescue group known as Angels Among Us shared a video on their fan page about Mitsie and her story in hopes of finding her a foster home in the Atlanta area.

Lucky for Mitsie, their hard work paid off. Thanks to a group of good people refusing to kill a perfectly healthy dog, Mitsie has now been adopted and is in her loving, furever home.
